Sparkler is a character from G1 My Little Pony. She only appears in the 1985 special Escape from Catrina. She was voiced by Ivy Austin.
Appearance[]
She is a unicorn with a periwinkle coat. Her mane is light purple with a bright red streak. She has purple eyes and a hot pink tail bow. Her symbol is four blue diamonds.
Personality[]
In her one appearance, Sparkler is shown to be rude and unkind, particularly towards Sundance. But she changed her tune after Sundance saved Baby Moondancer.
Role[]
During Escape from Catrina, she and Lickety-Split were painting a banner for Megan's "Welcome Back" party. Sparkler became angry at Sundance for accidentally ruining it. Then she and Spike were catapulted into the air by Sundance which resulted in them both being covered in paint.
Trivia[]
- Sparkler, along with Glory, served as inspiration for the Friendship is Magic character Rarity.
- She appears in the G4-G1 comic crossover called My Little Pony: Generations and in the mobile game event based on it.
