The caracters[]

The children:[]

• Megane: heroine. She is the eldest of three children. She is blonde, wears her hair in a ponytail and wears overalls. Courageous, intelligent, she is calm and mature. She is first brought back to PonyLand by Firefly.

• Danny: Megan's brother. He sometimes rushes in without thinking and gets offended easily. He often argues with Molly, and is a daredevil.

• Molly: the youngest of the three. A little capricious, she has a strong character but remains clever and kind.

Other important characters[]

• Spike: baby purple dragon who has lived with the ponies since the Battle at Midnight Castle. He is sarcastic but always ready to help children and ponies alike. He is a very important character. He is included in the 2010 version.

• The Moochick: Gnome magician who lives in the Mushroom Kingdom with his assistant, Rabbit. He is eccentric and airheaded but knows a lot about the world and magic. Megan and the ponies often ask him for help.

• Bushwoolies: Group of small bushy and colorful creatures. They always all act together and are inseparable. They are always confused and very easily influenced. The only one capable of making decisions is a blue ballmoss who acts as the leader of the group. They became friends with the ponies after getting rid of Catherine's influence.

The ponies:[]

The unicorns:[]

They have a horn on their forehead which gives them more or less powerful magical powers.

• Buttons: lavender pink female unicorn with blue hair. She has a red ribbon in her mane. Its symbol is buttons. Buttons loves to decorate her dresses with beautiful buttons. One night, when all the ponies were asleep, she decorated Ponyland with a basket of buttons. In the morning, the ponies looked outside their windows and were delighted to see the buds sparkle in fluffy clouds and sparkle in trees. Buttons wove buttons into their hair to finish off his unusual decorations. She teleports with her magic and is sometimes bossy. Her baby Buttons'Baby is in awe of his mother's powers.

• Fizzy: turquoise female unicorn with light and dark pink, white and dark green hair. Its symbol is made up of bubbles. This is a recurring pony. Fizzy is described as directive, but also as very friendly and funny. Her horn can bubble water, aerate the air, or teleport, although she does not always have complete control over it.

• Galaxy: pinkish purple female unicorn with red, pink, white and orange hair. Its symbol is made up of stars. Recurring pony. Galaxy is described to be very intelligent, resourceful and is seen as the voice of reason. She has good instincts and can produce light and warmth with her horn.

• Gusty/Baby Gusty: white female unicorn with green hair and a red stripe. Appears often. Its symbol is made of maple leaves. Gusty is an impatient pony and is very grumpy. She is also very athletic and brave and can use her horn to summon the wind. She has a daughter named Baby Gusty, who shares the same impatience as her mother and is close to Baby Ribbon.

• Mimic: female yellow-green unicorn with yellow, red, light pink and green hair. Its symbol represents a red and yellow parrot. Mimic is the descendant of the first unicorn in Ponyland. She has incredible powers that are much more powerful than those of other unicorn ponies. With the power of the Golden Horseshoes, she can levitate things, read minds, and see the future. After falling ill, Megan and the Ponies go in search of the Golden Horseshoes to cure Mimic.

• Ribbon/Baby Ribbon: female neon blue unicorn with red and yellow hair. Its symbol is a white ribbon. She appears often. Ribbon is very mature and motherly towards her daughter, Baby Ribbon. She is a telepath, a gift with which she managed to contact Megan when she was captured in Tambelon. Her daughter has a lot of difficulty blinking and is very close to Baby Ribbon. She is also telepathic.

• Twillight: female pink unicorn with white hair crossed by a purple stripe. She has stars in her mane, also present in her symbol. Twillight doesn't have great confidence but has a lot of abilities, especially in teleportation. She is mysterious and endearing at the same time. She inspired Twillight Sparkle in the 2010 version.

• Powder: female purple unicorn with white hair crossed by a red stripe. Five snowflakes represent its symbol.

• Sparkler: pale blue female unicorn with purple hair crossed by a red stripe. Its symbol is made of diamonds. She likes to dance. Sparkler is one of the inspirations along with Glory and Majesty for Rarity in the 2010 version.

• Starflower: female coral blue unicorn with pink, blue and yellow hair. Six pink stars form its symbol. Starflower is one of two Rainbow Ponies who was freed from a curse that turned her into a toy alongside Skydancer.

• Majesty: white female unicorn with blue hair and a silver band. Five blue flowers constitute its symbol. She appears sometimes. She inspires Rarity in the 2010 version.

• Glory/Baby Glory: white female unicorn with purple hair and a blue stripe. Symbol representing a shooting star. Glory is described to be the most elegant of all the unicorn ponies and moves so gracefully that it looks like she has wings. Her daughter is described to be brave. Glory inspires Rarity with Majesty and Sparkler in the 2010 version.

• Moondancer/Baby Moondancer: female unicorn with red hair and a purple stripe. Its symbol consists of a moon and stars. Moondancer is one of four ponies kidnapped from Dream Valley during Scorpan's raid. Of the four, she is the only unicorn pony to be transformed by Tirek's Rainbow of Darkness. She inspired Moondancer in the 2010 version.

The pegasi:[]

They have wings, which allows them to fly at high speeds.

• Heart Throb/Baby Heart Throb: female pink pegasus with dark pink hair. Its symbol consists of four pink hearts with silver wings. For Heart Throb, every day is Valentine's Day. She transmits joyful messages of love and happiness to all those who live far beyond the rainbow. Her daughter, Baby Heart Throb, dreams of singing on stage.

• Locket: female pink pegasus with pink, orange, purple and white hair. Its symbol is several keys. Locket is close to Twillight and they venture into Cloud Castle together.

• Lofty / Baby Lofty: pale yellow female pegasus with yellow hair. A pink hot air balloon surrounded by red stars constitutes its symbol. An explorer pony, Lofty loves exploring mountains and can fly higher than any other pegasus in Ponyland. Her daughter is Baby Lofty, who is clumsy and dreams of flying as high as her mother. Appears often.

• Masacarade: female yellow pegasus with yellow, green hair. Its symbol is two roses and a few drops. She is a pony who loves to dress up and is a master of disguises.

• North Star/Baby North Star: pink female pegasus with purple hair. Its sign is the North Star. She is an explorer and speaks with a strong British accent. She has a good sense of direction, but lacks stamina. She has a daughter named Baby North Star. She is present regularly.

• Paradise: white female pegasus with orange hair. Its symbol is made of two green palm trees and an orange crescent moon. Paradis is a lover of legends and likes to tell stories to baby ponies. Often present.

• Surprise/Baby Surprise: female white pegasus with yellow hair. As a symbol, she has five purple balloons with pink strings. Recurring pony. Surprise is a mischievous pony. She is strong and cheerful, she often shouts her own name while doing the unexpected. Her character inspired that of Pinkie Pie in the 2010 version and gave fluttershy her wings.

• Twillight: female purple pegasus with pink hair. Its symbol is a white candle with a yellow flame. Not to be confused with the unicorn Twillight! She is a very brave pony who is close to Locket, and who goes with her to Cloud Castle.

• Whizzer: female purple pegasus with blue, green and pale green hair. Its symbol consists of thrusters. Whizzer is the fastest flying pony in Ponyland and speaks very quickly. She is very sure, but also very hasty with her actions.

• Wind Whistler: light blue female pegasus with light pink hair. Its symbol is five pink whistles. She is very present in the series. Wind Whistler is the "Scholar": intelligent, a good reasoner and thinker, she draws good conclusions and has good instincts. But some find her too suspicious (often rightly) or boring, because she is extremely rational.

• Firefly /Baby Firefly: female blue pegasus with pink hair. Firefly is a daredevil pegasus and one of the most famous characters in My Little Pony history due to his numerous appearances in the films and comics. She loves to run in the sky, moving gracefully from cloud to cloud, she dances on her hooves and lets herself be carried by the wind. She often chases the rain and searches for the rainbow among the clouds. She is determined, frank, courageous, lively and loyal. His daughter does not appear in the series. She inspired Rainbow Dash in the 2010 version.

• Skydancer: female yellow pegasus with dark pink, light yellow, green and blue hair. Seven sparkling green birds form its symbol. Skydancer also likes to fly fast and is one of two Rainbow Ponies that was made into a toy with Starflower.

• Medley: female turquoise pegasus with green hair. Its symbol is a group of five sparkling dark green musical notes. Medley often accompanies Firefly, but is much calmer than her.

Earth ponies:[]

They have neither horns nor wings. They are the ones closest to normal ponies.

• AppleJack: orange female with yellow hair. Its symbol is seven apples and oranges. She spends her time in the Orchard. Not very resourceful, clumsy and sometimes stupid, she is often fooled by enemy traps. She was one of four ponies to be transformed by Tirek's Rainbow of Darkness to pull his chariot. It was inspired by the 2010 version of Applejack.

• Bow Tie: blue female with pink hair. It has arcs as its symbol.

• Bubbles: yellow female with blue hair with five green bubbles as a symbol. She is transformed with AppleJack at Midnight Castle.

• Cotton Candy/Baby Cotton Candy: light pink female with pink hair. Its symbol is cotton candy. She is transformed into Midnight Castle with Bubbles and AppleJack. Cotton Candy is a sweet tooth and lover of sweet food; She's also a little lazy!

• Ember: lilac female with purple or pink hair depending on the version. During the first episodes it has no symbol, later it has a white star.

• Cherries Jubilee: peach-colored female with coral hairs with a symbol of five pairs of red cherries with green stems. She is the guardian of the orchards. She has a mature attitude and is sometimes a bit strict around some ponies.

• Cupcake: white female with blue hair with the symbol of iced cakes. Cupcake is a talented cook. She is motherly and wise and usually found in kitchens cooking delicious treats.

• Gingerbread: white female with purple, pink and blue hair. Its symbol is represented by six blue gingerbread men. A daredevil, Gingerbread is a gifted baker and a good sauté pan. She is also very optimistic and always sees the bright side of things.

• Likety Split/Baby Likety Split: lavender female with pink hair and ice cream cones as a symbol. Recurring pony. Likety Split is a cynical and very dependent Earth Pony. She loves planning surprise birthday parties for her friends and making sure there is always plenty of delicious ice cream to go with the cake. When a pony is sad, she is always the first to comfort them.

• Magic Star: yellow female with green hair. Its symbol is a pink and green magic wand. Magic Star is an earth pony who is fascinated by magic and seems a bit superstitious. She sometimes poses as leader.

• Posey: light yellow female with pink hair with six tulips as a symbol. Posey is Ponyland's gardener and loves her garden and flowers. Posey is very motherly towards all the baby ponies. She is helpful and generous, she always helps those in need. She would have inspired Fluttershy in the 2010 version.

• Scoops: white female with purple hair with ice cream in cups as a symbol. Scoops owns an ice cream store and distributes ice cream to everyone.

• Shady/Baby Shady: dark pink female with yellow hair. Its symbol is that of sunglasses. She is shy and doubts her actions. His daughter Baby Shady is his opposite, but is nevertheless quite naive.

• Sundance/Baby Sundance: white female with pink hair. Its symbol is made up of hearts, circles and triangles. Sundance is described as a dear pony in Megan's eyes. A very good jumper, she is extremely clumsy and thus regularly attracts the wrath of other ponies. Her daughter is Baby Sundance, who is braver than other baby ponies in certain situations.

• Sweet Stuff: Light blue female with purple, pink, light pink and white hair. Its symbol is purple and pink gumballs. Sweet Stuff is a soft-spoken pony. She is constantly apologizing and doubts herself and her choices a lot.

• Truly: white female with dark pink hair. Its symbol is a blue pigeon and pink hearts. Truly is a bossy pony who speaks with a South American accent. She likes to dress up, is sometimes a little arrogant and stubborn. She is the leader of the baby pony orchestra and seems to be one of those in charge of the little ones' room.

• Knight Shade: white male with purple hair without symbol. He is a very famous singer but his great popularity comes from the help of a very evil cloud monster. He is a little disturbed and cowardly, but he has a good heart and loves his mother very much. He ends up helping defeat the monster.

The Flutter Ponies[]

They are ponies with tiny bodies, curly manes, longer legs than regular ponies, and fairy wings. Flutter Ponies may look delicate, but they have a powerful ability, Utter Flutter, which allows them to demolish anything in their path by flapping their wings at high speed. They are rarely seen, as they prefer to live in Flutter Valley.

• Forget-Me-Not: Female purple flutter pony with white hair. Its symbol are 15 pink and yellow forget-me-not flowers. She is an intelligent and clever pony, who is open-minded.

• Honeysuckle: female pink flutter pony with light pink hair. Five pink and yellow honeysuckle flowers form its symbol. Honeysuckle is a good speaker who knows how to make others think, but she obeys and respects Rosedust, their queen.

• Lily: pink female with purple hair. Its symbol is a red lily.

• Morning Glory: female turquoise flutter pony with yellow hair. Its symbol is a green vine with three purple glory flowers. Morning Glory is a sweet and naive pony, who often helped the ponies and Megan.

• Peach Blossom: female flutter blue pony with turquoise hair. Its symbol is made of seven pink and orange peach flowers. Peach Blossom is intelligent and logical, but also thoughtful. She speaks in a vocabulary incomprehensible to most others. She uses her small size to her advantage, at one point acting as a spy.

• Rosedust: female yellow flutter pony with light pink hair. Three pink roses and seven pink and green rosebuds form its symbol. Rosedust is the Queen and leader of the flutter ponies, who always speaks with a strange British accent. She wears a dark pink feather on her head. She is the protector of a giant magical jewel that allows Flutter Valley to flourish.

Sea Ponies[]

These are colorful seahorses. They love playing sailor polo and singing. They are playful and mischievous equines. Baby Sea Ponies have kid inner tubes.

• Beachcomber: blue female with blue hair and a green buoy. Beachcomber is a mischievous baby seapony. She would love to discover treasure and often explores submerged beaches.

• Ripple: white female with pink hair and a pink buoy. Ripple is a baby swimmer and the fastest of all baby seaponies.

• Sealight: lavender female with purple hair. She's an adult. She participates in the rescue of Midnight Castle.

• Seashimmer: green and yellow female with blue hair. She is an expert baby hockey player and loves playing with her friends.

• Seawinkle: blue female with purple hair. She is a mischievous adult. Along with Ripple and others, she saves AppleJack and Megan from drowning in Midnight Castle, and gives the latter a seashell that can summon the SeaPonies.

• Surf Rider: lavender female with pink hair and buoy. She is a baby seapony who can put people to sleep with her song. She loves surfing the waterfall.

• Sun Shower: golden yellow female with green hair and a pink/orange buoy. He is a baby seapony who cares a lot about his appearance and is a little superficial sometimes.

• Water Lily: pink female with green hair and a pink buoy. Water Lily has the most beautiful voice of all the seaponies, babies and adults, and sings wonderfully.

• Wavedancer: pink female with turquoise hair. She is an adult who participates in the rescue at Midnight Castle.

Big Brother Ponies[]

They are the only males in Ponyland and are all land ponies. They travel around the world and wear bandanas. They end up returning home after their trip.

• 4-Speed: light blue male with dark blue mane crossed by a pink stripe. His bandana is pink, his symbol is a purple and pink truck. He is an expert driver.

• Quarterback/Score: blue male with blue manes with a silver stripe in the mane. His bandana is pink, his symbol is a pink and white American football. He is the leader of the group and also an expert footballer.

• Salty: turquoise male with purple hair, green bandana and symbol formed by a pink and white boat. He has a pink stripe in his mane. He has an accent and wants a boat more than anything.

• Slugger: male with blue bandana, purple and pink coat and white mane. A pink stripe crosses them. His symbol is a turquoise glove with a baseball bat. So he's a baseball fan who is madly in love with Boutons. She, however, treats him like other males.

• Steamer: pink male with light pink mane with a green stripe. His bandana is yellow. Its symbol is a purple train. He is a train specialist and dreams of owning his own railway.

• Tex: yellow male with pink mane crossed by a blue stripe. To a blue bandana. Its symbol is made of cacti. He has a strong South American accent and wants to be a cowboy.

Baby Ponies[]

They do not have specific mothers since they were born "from reflections" of ponies. They are all raised together.

• Baby Bouncy: female pegasus with yellow body and blue hair. Its symbol is a volleyball.

. Baby Cuddles : female turquoise earth pony with pink hair. Its symbol is pink and quite messy. She is adorable and brave like an adult.

• Baby Fifi: female earth pony with a blue dress, white hair crossed by a pink stripe. Its symbol consists of two pink poodles. Unlike her mother, who was a unicorn, Baby Fifi was born an earth pony and speaks with a French accent.

• Baby Half-Note: female lavender earth pony with turquoise hair. Its symbol is purple and pink slippers. She doesn't have a mother but she loves to dance gracefully

• Baby Milkweed: female yellow earth pony with pink hair. Its symbol is a rocking horse. Baby Milkweed is Baby Tumbleweed's twin sister. Together, they enjoy causing trouble for other baby ponies, especially Baby NorthStar.

• Baby Quackers: female white earth pony with blue, green, yellow and pink hair. Its symbol is a yellow duck with an orange umbrella. She usually makes duck noises when talking.

• Baby Sleepy Pie: female white earth pony with blue hair. She has a pink teddy bear with a nightcap as a symbol.

• Baby Sniffles: female lavender earth pony with light pink hair and pink mittens as a symbol. She is Baby Snookums' twin sister. The two are like newborn twins and love to cause trouble for Baby NorthStar's gang.

• Baby Snookums : female light pink earth pony with lavender hair and lavender mittens as a symbol. Baby Snookums is Baby Sniffles' twin sister. The two are like newborn twins and love to bother Baby NorthStar and his friends.

• Baby Tic-Tac-Toe: lemon yellow terrestrial female with red, dark pink and green hair. Its symbol is a green and pink tic tac toe.

• Baby Tiddley-Winks: pink terrestrial female with light pink hair and a white bib as a symbol.

• Baby Tumbleweed: yellow terrestrial female with pink manes with a rocking horse as a symbol. Baby Tumbleweed is Baby Milkweed's twin sister. The two are identical twins, and enjoy causing trouble for Baby NorthStar and her gang.

The Pony Princesses[]

They live on a remote island and have magic wands to maintain order and magic in PonyLand. They wear party hats.

• Princess Primrose: pink terrestrial female with blue manes with a symbol composed of pink tinsel and a medallion in the shape of a blue butterfly with a red jewel. She is one of the Six Pony Princesses; she is one of the guardians of the Magic Wands that maintain the balance of Ponyland's magic. She has many arguments with the other princesses over who should be Queen, but ultimately they all decide to work together with their differences. Princess Primrose's magic wand allows her to manipulate the wind at will.

• Princess Royal Blue: Blue terrestrial female with dark pink hair with a pink foil symbol, a pink crescent and a moon-shaped medallion with a green jewel. She is one of the Six Pony Princesses; she is one of the guardians of the Magic Wands that maintain the balance of Ponyland's magic. She has many arguments with the other princesses over who should be Queen, but ultimately they all decide to work together with their differences. Princess Serena's magic wand allows her to manipulate snow.

• Princess Serena: light blue terrestrial female with pink mane with a symbol of gold foil with a pink heart-shaped medallion and a red jewel. She is one of the Six Pony Princesses; she is one of the guardians of the Magic Wands that maintain the balance of Ponyland's magic. She has many arguments with the other princesses over who should be Queen, but ultimately they all decide to work together with their differences. Princess Serena's magic wand allows her to duplicate things.

• Princess Sparkle: lavender female unicorn with blue hair. Its symbol is blue foil with a medallion in the shape of a gold flower and a green jewel. She is one of the Six Pony Princesses; she is one of the guardians of the Magic Wands that maintain the balance of Ponyland's magic. She has many arguments with the other princesses over who should be Queen, but ultimately they all decide to work together with their differences. She can manipulate plants at will.

• Princess Starburst: yellow terrestrial female with purple hair. Its symbol consists of a silver foil with a pink star-shaped medallion and a yellow jewel. She is one of the Six Pony Princesses; she is one of the guardians of the Magic Wands that maintain the balance of Ponyland's magic. She has many arguments with the other princesses over who should be Queen, but ultimately they all decide to work together with their differences. She controls the colors around her.

• Princess Tiffany: white female pegasus with white manes with a silver foil symbol, a silver teardrop-shaped medallion and a green jewel. She is the most famous princess in PonyLand, and the leader of the Pony Princesses. She has many arguments with the other princesses over who should be Queen, but ultimately they all decide to work together with their differences. She controls the clouds.
